Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to lead compliance, auditing, and training across warehousing and cross-docking operations.

The role focuses on hazardous materials storage and implementation of environmental controls to minimize risk and ensure regulatory conformity. The position reports to the Director of Environmental Services and involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle from RFPs to steady-state

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or five years related experience in regulatory, corporate consulting, finance or transportation setting.
• Master's degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred.
• Five years or more progressively responsible position in environmental field with emphasis in large corporate setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities, from RFP issuance through Go Live.
• Stays current with local, state and federal environmental regulations impacting Ryder and related to stationary emissions, waste and hazmat management.
• Provides day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities in steady-state, including conducting routine audits.
• Develops and implements environmental training tools for waste management, spill response and regulatory reporting.
