Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join the Phoenix Environmental department. You will ensure compliance with hazardous and non-hazardous waste management programs and permits while supporting the company’s safety and environmental goals.

You will lead projects, coordinate with regulators and contractors, and strive to uphold ISO 14001/45001 standards as part of a safe, sustainable mining operation in Nevada.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential responsibilities of the position.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all legal and other compliance/permitting obligations for Title V and related permits.
• Ensure compliance for RCRA (LQG/SQG) including inspections and manifests.
• Communicate with regulators, site managers, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate permitting activities for air and waste management.
• Prepare Toxic Release Inventory Reporting.
• Prepare semi-annual and annual air compliance and emissions reports.
• Coordinate projects with contractors and manage budgets.
• Lead environmental engineers, coordinators, and technicians as assigned.
• Align practices with ISO 14001 and 45001 standards; promote safety and environmental programs.
• Be available for after-hours environmental incidents as needed.
