Nevada Gold Mines seeks an Environmental Superintendent to lead Environmental programs across water, land, air and waste at the Carlin Mine. The role directs compliance efforts, partners with the Environmental Manager, and guides staff and stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and mining experience, with the ability to manage multiple programs and budgets while supporting mine planning and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Seven+ years of experience in environmental compliance programs and permitting.
• Minimum of three years in supervisory roles.
• Knowledge of Federal and State environmental regulations and permitting processes.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 standard and systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience in mining operations is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead environmental programs at the Carlin Mine and oversee water/land/air/waste programs as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and coordinate permitting strategies with managers.
• Develop staff and coach environmental professionals; manage budgets.
• Collaborate with operations to integrate environmental requirements into planning.
• Act as liaison with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance.
• Oversee environmental contractors and ensure alignment with site goals.
• Drive continuous improvement of environmental systems and programs.
