Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join the Turquoise Ridge environmental team. You will manage water-related regulatory permits, monitoring, and reporting to support both open pit and underground mining while ensuring compliance and safe operations.

The role requires working with diverse stakeholders, coordinating with contractors, and leading data management efforts to mitigate environmental impact. A related degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5 years of direct experience.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with compliance systems and ISO 14001 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support mine operations in achieving production targets while ensuring environmental regulatory compliance for water-related programs and permits.
• Prepare regulatory reports and coordinate minor permitting activities for water management.
• Oversee data management to maintain compliance with permits and programs.
• Provide training support to employees and contractors; perform inspections with regulators as needed.
