Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer – Water for its Turquoise Ridge Complex. The role focuses on water management, compliance monitoring, and permitting, with oversight of reports and coordination with site teams.

You will lead water-related programs, mentor environmental staff, and collaborate with stakeholders across Turquoise Ridge and NGM, aligning with ISO 14001/45001 standards and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Environmental or Civil/Mining Engineering (related field).
• 5+ years of direct experience in environmental compliance with regulatory interactions.
• 3+ years of formal people management experience preferred.
• Familiarity with compliance systems and ISO 14001 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage water-related compliance programs and permits.
• Prepare quarterly, semi-annual and annual water permit reports.
• Support hydrologic investigations, planning and reporting.
• Coordinate water management permitting and design review activities.
• Supervise well drilling and design work.
• Collaborate with Turquoise Ridge and NGM stakeholders across sites.
• Coordinate with contractors within budgets and oversee contractor work.
• Engage with subject-matter experts on complex water-related issues and data quality objectives.
• Walk and inspect sites; respond to environmental incidents as needed.
