Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join the Turquoise Ridge environmental team. The role focuses on maintaining compliance with water-related permits, coordinating monitoring and reporting, and implementing site mitigations.

You will work with open pit and underground mining operations, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and managing projects within budget. Responsibilities include regulatory reporting, field data collection, data management, and inspections with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or related field; substituted with 5 years of direct experience.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently and in small multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office, EQuIS, GIS or similar) and data management experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and compliance systems (preferred).
• Willing to work in adverse weather conditions and lift 40+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support mine operations in achieving production targets while maintaining environmental regulatory compliance for water-related programs and permits.
• Prepare regulatory reports and coordinate permitting activities related to water management.
• Manage data to ensure permit compliance and monitor trends for mitigation.
• Oversee inspections with regulatory inspectors and provide training to employees.
• Perform field data collection, sampling, and oversee contractor work as needed.
