Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking an Environmental Engineer to lead site-wide regulatory compliance and environmental programs for Falcon/Dragon, Raptor/Starship, and Starlink initiatives.

You will manage soil, waste, and emission controls, coordinate with regulators, and oversee monitoring per DTSC, EPA, and SCAQMD requirements while partnering with engineering and construction teams to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental emphasis preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in design, development, and execution of environmental programs.
• Experience with regulatory compliance in manufacturing or construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, maintain environmental compliance programs at SpaceX Hawthorne site.
• Oversee day-to-day environmental site management for manufacturing/construction projects.
• Monitor SMP-related VOC, methane, and air sampling per EPA/SCAQMD requirements.
• Handle hazardous waste sampling, profiling, and disposal.
