Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Professional Geologist in Hawthorne, CA to lead environmental compliance programs for construction and remediation.

You will own the Soil Management Plan and oversee site-wide monitoring, waste handling, and regulatory reporting across SpaceX’s manufacturing sites. The role requires California licensure, 5+ years in environmental compliance, and collaboration with DTSC, CUPA, and EPA to ensure safety and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• California Licensed Professional Geologist.
• 5+ years of professional experience in environmental compliance programs for manufacturing/construction environments.
• Experience with DTSC, CUPA, EPA, and air monitoring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental compliance programs for construction and remediation.
• Oversee day-to-day environmental site management for manufacturing projects at Hawthorne, CA.
• Manage Soil Management Plan (SMP) and ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Monitor VOC emissions, soil and hazardous waste handling in accordance with regulations.
• Coordinate with DTSC, CUPA, EPA and other agencies; review reports and records.
• Support planning for facilities changes to meet permitting requirements.
