Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Professional to lead the design, implementation, and oversight of site-wide regulatory programs at the Hawthorne, CA facility. You will coordinate with DTSC, EPA, CUPA, and local agencies while ensuring safe handling of soil, lead and asbestos waste.

The role requires CA Geologist licensure, a Bachelor’s degree, and 5+ years in manufacturing or construction environmental programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and California Geologist license preferred.
• 5+ years in environmental and regulatory compliance in manufacturing or construction.
• Experience with DTSC, CUPA, EPA, and air quality regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental compliance programs at Hawthorne site.
• Oversee daily environmental site management for manufacturing projects.
• Monitor VOCs and methane, manage soil sampling and hazardous waste handling.
• Coordinate permitting, testing, and regulatory reporting with contractors and regulators.
• Ensure site-wide SMP compliance and liaison with engineering and operations teams.
