Job summary

Southwire Company is seeking an entry-level Take Up 1 worker in Carrollton, GA to rewind material to specified lengths and perform spark testing. The role requires basic English literacy, the ability to lift up to 45 lbs, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Shifts include D Shift (6:50 PM - 7:00 AM) with a pay rate of 21.79–23.18 per hour. This position involves standing, following instructions, and performing duties related to wire processing in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods of time.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Run a specified package length.
• Responsible for proper spark-tester settings.
• Responsible to tag and package product properly.
• Responsible to produce a quality product according to specifications and visual check.
• Possible painting of wire, print removal, or reprinting while rewinding.
• Responsible to make a quality patch on defective material when needed.
• Responsible to strip insulation off scrap wire.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
