Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC is seeking an entry-level Take Up role to set up and operate coiler/spoolers. You will assist operators, change reels, label reels, and perform minor repairs while following production orders to meet customer requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma, English proficiency, and the ability to stand and lift up to 45 lbs; bilingual Spanish is a plus. A forklift license may be required, and safety is a daily priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods.
• Assist with the operation of the machine you are assigned to.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Must be able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators with lines.
• Operate per the applicable procedures.
• Change out reels of cable while maintaining line function.
• Utilize tagging system to label reels.
• Make minor adjustments and repairs to machines.
• Properly utilize production orders to meet all customer requirements.
• Operate take up and assist line operator with running the machine.
• This position may require a Southwire forklift license.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
