Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC in Mississippi is hiring for an entry-level Take Up 3 role on the production line. You will operate a take-up in line with the extruder, perform take-up and pay-off operations, and ensure reels are wound to customer specifications.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read, write, and speak English (Spanish a plus), and the ability to stand and lift up to 45 lbs. Forklift license may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods; lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform take up and pay off operations as required.
• Layer wind cable to customer specified ship out length and reel.
• Change out reels of cable while maintaining line function.
• Operate take up and assist line operator with running the machine.
