Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC is hiring for Take Up 2, an entry-level role at our Heflin, AL facility. The position involves setting up and operating coiler/spoolers and assisting line operators to maintain production flow.

Responsibilities include changing reels, labeling reels using the tagging system, performing minor repairs, and following ISO quality and safety procedures. Lifting up to 45 lbs and English proficiency are required; forklift certification may be needed.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role, set up and operate coiler/spoolers.
• Must read, write, and speak English; Spanish a plus.
• Must be able to stand and lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators with lines.
• Operate per applicable procedures.
• Change out reels of cable while maintaining line function.
• Utilize tagging system to label reels.
• Make minor adjustments and repairs to machines.
• Follow production orders to meet customer requirements.
• Operate take up and assist line operator with running the machine.
• May require a Southwire forklift license.
