Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC invites applications for an entry-level Take Up 1 role at our Carrollton, GA facility. The position involves rewinding material to length, stripping insulation, and performing spark testing to ensure quality for wire and cable production.

You willwork on the C shift (6:50 PM - 7:00 AM) with pay rate of 21.79 – 23.18 per hour. Applicants must have a high school diploma, read/write/speak English, and be able to lift up to 45 lbs in a production setting.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English; Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods of time
• Must be able to follow instructions
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Run a specified package length.
• Responsible for proper spark-tester settings.
• Responsible to tag and package product properly.
• Responsible to produce a quality product according to specifications and visual check.
• Possible painting of wire, print removal, or reprinting while rewinding.
• Responsible to make a quality patch on defective material when needed.
• Responsible to strip insulation off scrap wire.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
