Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Production Associate 1 in Cary to operate window and door assembly lines, maintain safe practices, and support timely delivery to customers.

You will read tape measures, follow standard work, and participate in continuous improvement. The role requires physical endurance, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to work extended hours or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read tape measures and interpret fractions and decimals.
• Able to read basic words and numbers; follow written instructions.
• Operate power tools with dexterity and know when to change PPE.
• Identify hazards and understand safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Experience with measurement standards and tolerances is a plus.
• Follow Standard Work and maintain quality requirements (CTQ).
• Communicate clearly, listen actively, ask questions, share important information.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools to assemble, lift, pick and pack products.
• Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities.
• Follow defined clean-up times and safe work practices.
• Work to an established rate defined by customer demand and operations.
• Help define and improve standard work to boost quality.
• Identify problems and communicate issues promptly.
• Assist with training co-workers and maintain a respectful workplace.
• Perform other duties across the plant as directed.
