Technicians operate with a service team at wind sites near home, handling preventive and unscheduled maintenance of turbines and generators.

You will join as a full-time technician, reporting to the Program Manager and Site Manager, and you’ll gain comprehensive field experience while advancing Sky

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorships)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Successful completion of a climb preview prior to hire
• Associate’s degree in a technical mechanical field, wind energy discipline, or equivalent experience (preferred)
• Mechanical or electrical background (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret basic diagrams and wiring schematics (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance, operations, and upgrades
• Verify that the work complies with customer requirements
• Perform work based on established work procedures
• Document all work performed
• Report policy or procedure violations
• Submit progress reports
• Repair or replace parts
• Possess knowledge about specific activity tools and use them safely
• Occasionally work independently on a component of equipment maintenance
• Dismantle and assemble basic machinery, components, equipment, or tooling
• Travel up to 25%
• Work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
• Work at heights and in all weather conditions
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record
