Job summary

Sky Climber Renewables is seeking a TOP Wind Service Technician Level 1 to join the Tech One Program. This entry-level role provides exclusive safety and technical training accredited through GWO.

Technicians work at wind sites near home and support a service team to maintain wind turbine generators. The position reports to the Program Manager and Site Manager, with duties including preventive and unscheduled maintenance, equipment repairs, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorships).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Successful completion of a climb preview prior to hire.
• Associate’s degree in a technical mechanical field or wind energy discipline preferred.
• Mechanical or electrical background preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret basic diagrams and wiring schematics.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance, operations, and upgrades.
• Verify that work is completed in accordance with customer requirements.
• Document all work performed and report any policy or procedure violations.
• Travel as required (up to 25%).
• Work at heights, in all weather conditions, and overtime as needed.
• Dismantle and assemble basic machinery, components, or tooling.
