Job summary

Sky Climber Renewables is hiring for a Wind Technician Level 1 through the TOP Wind Service Technician program in Texas. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wind turbine components at site locations, under supervision, with comprehensive safety training.

This entry-level role emphasizes hands-on mechanical and electrical work, climbing towers, and adhering to environmental and safety procedures while developing skills for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Sky Climber does not sponsor).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Successful completion of a climb preview prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance, operations, and upgrades.
• Verify work complies with customer requirements.
• Perform work based on established procedures.
• Document all work performed.
• Report policy or procedure violations.
• Submit progress reports.
• Repair or replace parts.
• Possess knowledge about activity tools and use them safely.
• Occasionally work independently on a component of maintenance project.
• Dismantle and assemble basic machinery, components, equipment, or tooling.
• Travel as required (up to 25%).
• Work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.
• Work at heights and in all weather conditions.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
