Job summary

AMT is seeking an Entry Level Water Resources Engineer in Towson, MD to join a growing team of design professionals. Typical tasks include stormwater management, drainage systems, culverts, open channels, and bridge hydraulics with the opportunity for career advancement.

The role offers a competitive salary and a hybrid (office/remote) schedule, with potential collaboration across AMT offices on projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus in Water Resources.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulic modeling with commonly used software.
• FE/EIT exam completed or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering documents (plans, reports, cost estimates and specifications) for Advertisement and Construction.
• Obtain permit approvals from state and local agencies.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
• Demonstrate design knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Exhibit strong organizational, coordination and communication skills, both written and verbal.
