Job summary

AMT in Towson, MD is seeking a Project Manager / Senior Water Resources Engineer with 7+ years of water resources experience to lead transportation-related projects for MD and VA DOTs and municipalities. The right candidate will manage, deliver, and grow into leadership roles while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

The role involves hydrology and hydraulic modeling, permit approvals, and client communications.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Water Resources.
• 7+ years of water resources experience including plan and report production.
• MD or VA Professional Engineer license required; NC/SC PE preferred.
• CADD experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads.

Responsibilities

• Complete calculations, reports and plans for transportation projects (stormwater, storm drainage, culverts, open channels, bridge hydraulics, erosion and sediment control).
• Perform Hydrologic and Hydraulic analysis and reporting.
• Obtain permit approvals from state and local agencies.
• Assist in preparing engineering documents (plans, reports, cost estimates and specifications) for Advertisement and Construction.
• Meet and work directly with clients and public agency officials.
• Collaborate with a Transportation design team across disciplines and support staff on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Provide QA/QC review following AMT and client procedures.
