Job summary

Fehr & Peers is seeking an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer or Planner to build a strong professional foundation under experienced staff. You’ll work on transportation planning, design, and analysis across a variety of projects and locations, with mentorship and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or in-progress master’s in transportation, civil or electrical engineering, urban and regional planning, or related field.
• EIT is preferred for engineering candidates.
• Experience or exposure in transportation topic areas: field work, traffic operations analysis, signal design, transportation planning, bicycle and pedestrian planning, transit planning, infrastructure finance, transportation and land use policy, travel demand modeling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct transportation analysis and prepare reports, memos, and other technical deliverables
• Participate in meetings, including preparing presentations and public outreach materials
• Support project coordination and management activities
• Engage with professional organizations and industry activities
• Conduct site visits and collect field data
• Explore opportunities to contribute to Fehr & Peers internal Research and Development program
• Embrace opportunities to learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and ways of working while maintaining professional judgment
