Job summary

Fehr & Peers is seeking an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer or Planner to build a strong professional foundation, applying standard techniques under guidance of experienced staff. The role emphasizes curiosity, collaboration, and learning across transportation planning, engineering, and design projects.

Responsibilities include analyses, meetings, public outreach materials, site visits, and collaboration with project managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or in-progress master’s degree in transportation, civil or electrical engineering, urban and regional planning, or related field.
• EIT is preferred for engineering candidates.
• Experience or exposure to transportation topics and related software/tools as listed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct transportation analysis and prepare reports, memos, and other technical deliverables.
• Participate in meetings, including preparing presentations and public outreach materials.
• Support project coordination and management activities.
• Engage with professional organizations and industry activities.
• Conduct site visits and collect field data.
• Explore opportunities to contribute to Fehr & Peers internal Research and Development program.
• Adopt new tools and technologies while maintaining professional judgment and accountability.
