Job summary

Fehr & Peers is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer or Planner to build a strong professional foundation by applying standard techniques under experienced staff. The role offers exposure to transportation planning, engineering, and design projects across planning, operations, and design disciplines.

You will participate in on-the-job training, contribute to multiple projects, and build proficiency with software tools while developing responsible, independent work habits over the first

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or in-progress master's in transportation, civil or electrical engineering, urban planning, or related fields.
• EIT is preferred for engineering candidates.
• Experience or exposure in transportation topics and planning.
• Experience with technical software and tools listed in qualifications.
• Proactive communication and teamwork.
• Curiosity about transportation and day-to-day travel challenges.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to balance priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct transportation analysis and prepare reports and deliverables.
• Prepare presentations and public outreach materials for meetings.
• Support project coordination and management activities
• Engage with professional organizations and industry activities
• Conduct site visits and collect field data
• Contribute to Fehr & Peers R&D program
• Adopt new tools and technologies while maintaining professional judgment
