Fehr & Peers is seeking an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer or Planner to build a strong professional foundation under guidance from experienced staff. You’ll work on transportation planning, design, and operations projects across a range of topics, gaining exposure to multiple software tools and client settings.

You’ll participate in training, contribute to deliverables, and gradually take on responsibilities for small projects while developing technical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or in-progress Master’s in transportation, civil or related field.
• An EIT is preferred for engineering candidates.
• Experience in field work, traffic operations analysis, signal design, transportation planning, or related areas.
• Proficiency with Excel; GIS; CAD; traffic operations tools and travel-demand modeling tools; programming in Python or R.

Responsibilities

• Conduct transportation analysis and prepare reports and deliverables.
• Prepare presentations and outreach materials for meetings.
• Support project coordination and management activities.
• Engage with professional organizations and industry activities.
• Conduct site visits and collect field data.
• Contribute to Fehr & Peers Research and Development programs.
• Learn and adopt new tools and technologies to improve day-to-day work.
