Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an early-career thermal engineer to support the development of thermal hardware and systems for spacecraft. You will assist with thermal analysis, design activities, testing support, and hardware integration, working alongside experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience with both passive and active thermal control.

Ideal candidates will have a recent B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering, coursework in heat transfer and thermodynamics, CAD skills, and

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering discipline and recent graduate availability.
  • Coursework or project experience in thermodynamics, heat transfer, or fluid mechanics.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, NX, or similar).
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Support design, fabrication, and testing of thermal control hardware.
  • Assist with thermal analysis using hand calculations and analysis software.
  • Support integration and test activities for thermal hardware.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
  • Contribute to hardware assembly and testing efforts.
  • Learn and apply thermal engineering principles to spacecraft applications.
