Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an early-career engineer to support the development of thermal hardware and systems. You will assist with thermal analysis, design activities, testing support, and hardware integration efforts, gaining hands-on experience across passive and active thermal control systems.

As part of a team of engineers, you will learn, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and contribute to innovative solutions with strong attention to detail and safety culture.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering.
  • Recent graduate within the last year and able to start by Fall 2027.
  • Coursework or project experience in thermodynamics, heat transfer, or fluid mechanics.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, NX, or similar).
  • Basic engineering fundamentals and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Support design, fabrication, and testing of thermal control hardware.
  • Assist with thermal analysis using hand calculations and analysis software.
  • Support integration and test activities for thermal hardware.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
  • Contribute to hardware assembly and testing efforts.
  • Learn and apply thermal engineering principles to spacecraft applications.
