General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (GDIT) seeks a Systems Administrator Tier I/Service Desk Technician in Las Cruces, NM to support government IT operations. The role focuses on first-level troubleshooting, incident response, and basic system administration across Windows and UNIX/Linux environments.

The position requires 1+ years in IT support, plus DoD IA credentials within six months and a TS/SCI with Polygraph. Shift-based Panama schedule and onsite work in Las Cruces are noted.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in IT/technical support.
• Experience in system administration and analysis is preferred.
• Unix/Linux and Windows system administration experience preferred.
• DoD IA certification within 6 months of hire; TS/SCI with Polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Manage functionality and efficiency of computers across one or more OS.
• Provide first-level ITSM and troubleshooting for customers.
• Perform identification, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of failures to restore operations.
• Monitor OS, COTS, and custom software; manage resources and memory.
• Replace hardware components or coordinate replacement as needed.
• Document work and escalate to Tier 2/3 with data collection.
• Interface with customers and government officials and support special projects.
