Job summary

CannonDesign in Buffalo seeks a structural engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team, working under a licensed engineer on projects across education, healthcare, sports, and commercial sectors. You will develop or analyze structural systems, perform design calculations, and document plans using Revit, RAM, and RISA; contribute to Contract Documents with BIM models.

A Bachelor in Civil Engineering (Structural) is required; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor in Civil Engineering with Structural focus; Master preferred.
• Related internship experience desired.
• EIT or LEED accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a structural engineer to develop or analyze structural systems for educational, healthcare, sports, corporate, and science facilities.
• Perform design calculations under supervision.
• Use engineering software to design and document structural systems.
• Use Autodesk Revit to develop BIM models for Contract Documents.
• Assist in creating foundation, floor framing, roof plans, sections and details.
