Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer-in-Training to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will work under a licensed engineer to develop new and analyze existing structural systems for educational, healthcare, sports, corporate, and science facilities.

You will perform design calculations, use Revit for BIM, and assist in producing contract documents. Strong communication and teamwork are essential; some overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Overtime work may be required during project phases.

Responsibilities

• Develop new structural designs and analyze existing systems under supervision.
• Perform design calculations for institutional, sports, and corporate buildings.
• Use Autodesk Revit to create BIM models and prepare contract documents.
• Assist in producing foundation, floor, roof plans, sections, details and specs.
• Coordinate structural systems with overall building design with the design team.
• Review shop drawings during construction and participate in field observations.
