Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician, Level 1 for full-time on-site work in Tucson, AZ. You will perform field maintenance and learn to follow safe work practices across solar plants, battery storage and substations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Vocational/Technical School training is a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to perform Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Basic solar installation knowledge.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification desired.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicle.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Stresses safety as the most important function.
• Work safely under all circumstances; seek guidance for unfamiliar tasks.
• Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.
• Service solar equipment in multiple solar plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Replace or repair solar parts and/or equipment under supervision.
• Respond on-call as directed by supervisor to assist in emergency repairs.
• Prepare accurate documentation and required reports of work performed.
• Coordinate with EPC management on improvements and new technologies.
