Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance on solar plants and learn safe work practices. The role is full-time on a Ramsey, IL jobsite with supervision and on-call support where necessary.

You will assist in testing and maintaining solar equipment, replace parts as directed, and document all work performed. Candidates must have basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge and strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work in a mechanical/electrical environment through training or experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of lock out/tag out procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Stresses safety as the top priority and follows safe work practices.
• Service solar equipment in multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision and assist in emergencies.
• Prepare accurate documentation and reports of work performed.
