Job summary

Food & Friends, Inc. seeks a Social Services Coordinator to provide direct service to clients referred by state health departments and assist with program operations. The role includes outreach, enrollment explanation, client data entry, and delivering first-day meals to new clients.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (BA/BS preferred), at least one year of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; willingness to conduct home visits is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Spanish language skills a plus.
• Willingness to conduct home visits and onsite work.

Responsibilities

• Proactive outreach to prospective clients.
• Prepare and mail letters explaining program benefits, eligibility, and enrollment steps.
• Call prospective clients to explain services and enroll individuals into the medically tailored meal program.
• Collect, document, and enter all client and outreach information into the client database.
• Provide first‑day meal deliveries to new clients and orient them to program services and expectations.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients to follow up on services and address questions or concerns.
• Assist with the production and distribution of client- and service‑related materials.
