Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Service Desk Analyst I in Columbia, TN (onsite). The role starts ASAP on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis, with a compensation range of $25–$27 per hour (W2) and an approximate conversion salary of $50,000.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with potential for growth within the IT team. The ideal candidate has 0–2 years in service desk/desktop support, basic Windows troubleshooting, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of Service Desk, Desktop Support, or IT Support experience.
• Basic Windows troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work well as part of a team.
• Professional attitude and willingness to take ownership of issues.
• Comfortable supporting both technical and non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee technology issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, and common software problems.
• Respond to service requests submitted through phone, email, and ticketing systems.
• Perform password resets, account troubleshooting, and basic user support.
• Set up computers and equipment for new employees.
• Install and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Document issues and resolutions within the ticketing system.
• Follow up with users to ensure issues are fully resolved.
• Assist Systems Administrators with various infrastructure and support projects.
• Support hardware refreshes and other IT initiatives as needed.
