Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Fairfax, VA is seeking an Entry Level Engineer to join the Highway/Roadway team. You will assist in planning and design of transportation projects under supervision and contribute to delivering safe, efficient roadways.

The role emphasizes collaboration, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Ideal candidates hold an ABET-accredited civil engineering degree and are eager to gain hands-on experience with roadway design tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 0-4 years of relevant experience.
• Prior Internship or relevant work experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• The Roadway Engineer will participate in the planning and design on transportation related projects.
• The primary duties will be to support senior engineers in a variety of tasks in the field of roadway design.
• Responsibilities will include performing roadway design, field investigations, preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and the development of technical reports.
