Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP, a civil/transportation engineering firm in Baltimore, MD, is seeking an Entry Level Highway Engineer to assist in planning and design of transportation facilities. The ideal candidate will support Senior Project Engineers on projects including highways, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, and transit improvements.

Requirements include a ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree, internship/experience in transportation engineering, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Relevant internship or job experience in transportation engineering.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and design of highway and transportation projects.
• Support Senior Project Engineers in development of geometric alignments and construction plans.
• Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports for transportation facilities.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to deliver project tasks on schedule.
