Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP seeks an Entry Level Engineer to join the Highway/Roadway team in our Richmond, VA office. The position involves supporting senior engineers in roadway design, field investigations, and preparing construction plans and reports.

The successful candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree (ABET accredited) and 0-4 years of relevant experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency in MicroStation and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited program.
• 0-4 years of relevant experience; internship or prior work preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Support senior engineers in roadway design and transportation projects.
• Perform roadway design tasks, field investigations, and prepare construction plans and specifications.
• Develop cost estimates and technical reports for roadway projects.
