Job summary

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree required.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 11-15 years of roadway engineering experience, preferably with VDOT.
• Strong written and oral communication across all organization levels.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and design of transportation projects in Virginia.
• Responsible for horizontal/vertical alignments, plans, profiles, and traffic design.
• Develop construction plans, specs, cost estimates and technical reports.
