Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of chemical/biochemical process design engineering and process computer programs.
• Working knowledge of CAD software preferred (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture and apply safety concepts into process design.
• Familiar with department standards, procedures, and guidelines; work on project task teams.
• Assist in developing conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient solutions.
• Assist in producing estimate-level preliminary designs and material take-offs.
• Prepare detail design calculations and sketches for materials of construction.
• Coordinate with design leaders from other disciplines to ensure smooth information flow and timely completion.
