Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors seeks a process design engineer at the Saraland site to lead front-end data development, prepare Basis of Design documents, and coordinate with Project Managers and vendors. You will develop process conditions, equipment specs, and cost/time estimates while supporting hazard analyses and drawing reviews.

The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering disciplines, cost estimation, and delivering compliant process designs within project timelines.

Qualifications

• Promotes safety culture in process design and execution.
• Ability to create accurate process engineering documents from vendor data.
• Familiarity with CAD software and process simulation tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end data development for projects (process conditions, equipment specs, scope, cost, timeline, risks).
• Collaborate with Project Cost Estimator and Project Engineer to develop initial cost estimates.
• Develop Basis of Design Documents and handover to projects group.
• Prepare PFD/P&ID markups and participate in hazard analyses.
• Interface with engineering firms on drawings, data sheets, and data reviews.
• Support stage-gate activities and RFI responses to progress execution.
