Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a Process Design Engineer for our Saraland site in Alabama. The role involves leading cross-functional teams to develop engineered solutions for refinery issues, applying lean and quality management practices, and delivering basis of design documents to the Capital PROJECT group.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design experience and a Bachelor or Master in a related field, with PE registration

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional engineering registration or CPIP certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to address refinery design problems and opportunities.
• Develop basis of design documents and cost estimates with project teams.
• Prepare PFDs and P&IDs and review data sheets for accuracy.
• Assess process safety and safeguarding considerations in design.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Capital Projects to ensure deliverables meet scope and schedule.
