Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Birmingham, AL is seeking a part-time Plasma Donor Screener to support center operations. You will perform phlebotomy, screen donors, record vital signs, and manage donor charts using our information system. The role requires customer-facing experience, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and adherence to safety protocols within a fast-paced plasma center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to walk/stand for entire shift.
• Willingness to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Glove wear due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring donor and team safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors; record donor vital signs and fingerstick results.
• Use the Donor Information System; prepare donor charts and maintain records; coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and initiate changes to center processes using approved procedures.
• Support donors across varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
