Job summary

BioLife is seeking a Plasma Donor Screener/Phlebotomy support role in Birmingham, AL. You will greet donors, screen and assess donors, record vital signs, and maintain donor charts while ensuring donor safety and accurate documentation.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, physical ability to stand/walk, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior customer-facing experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs, occasional lifting up to 32 lbs and rarely 50 lbs.
• 1+ years of experience in a customer- or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety and service.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and initiate changes to center processes following approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
