Job summary

BioLife is seeking a Phlebotomist to greet donors, perform venipuncture, and manage plasmapheresis operations in a Birmingham, AL center. You will monitor donors, handle equipment setup, and ensure accurate data entry into the DIS system. Shift requires evenings, weekends, and holidays with part-time hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk/stand for the entire shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Lift up to 5 lbs and occasional loads up to 50 lbs.
• 1+ year in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machine.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage donor reactions.
• Setup, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment as trained.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal.
• Record donor vitals and enter data into the donor information system.
• Coordinate donors to donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system.
• Support center management in process improvements per approved procedures.
