Job summary

Stanford Medicine Partners is seeking an entry-level Patient Service Representative (PSR I) to join the care team. You will greet patients, register them, verify insurance, schedule appointments and manage telephone inquiries with courtesy.

Under supervision you will support practitioners and other staff, handle basic patient care duties, document information, balance cash, and ensure HIPAA and compliance policies are followed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of customer service experience in a medical office, insurance, or client services environment required.
• Graduate of a Medical Receptionist training program, healthcare experience, or related preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration and scheduling.
• Identify accepted insurance plans and verify eligibility.
• Collect payments, deposits, and balance cash drawer.
• Coordinate communication between patients and clinicians.
