Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Horsham, PA seeks a necropsy technician to perform basic necropsy procedures and assist with documentation for audits and reviews. You will handle tissue collection, organ weights, and related lab tasks in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented and have general familiarity with lab procedures.
• Good verbal communication skills required.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Learn correct anatomic terms and apply them in necropsy work.
• Assist in documentation for internal/external reviews and audits.
• Perform basic necropsy procedures: dissection, tissue collection, weights, etc.
• Learn operation of lab equipment (calipers, balances, centrifuges).
• Collect data using computerized systems and perform blood collection as needed.
