Job summary

Charles River is seeking a necropsy-focused professional to independently perform advanced necropsy procedures in support of preclinical studies. You will prepare documentation, conduct quality controls, and serve as a technical resource for pathology and necropsy activities.

You will train junior staff, participate in method development, and ensure compliance with protocols and regulatory standards. The role includes histology tasks and maintaining a safe lab.

Qualifications

• Provide guidance and training to junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform necropsy procedures including tissue collection and specialized dissections.
• Prepare study-specific necropsy procedures and supporting records.
• Conduct quality control reviews of study data and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Assist in audits, deviations, inspections and other reviews.
• Train and mentor junior staff in necropsy techniques.
