Job summary

Charles River Laboratories is seeking an entry-level necropsy support role in Horsham, PA. The position involves performing basic necropsy procedures, data collection, and contributing to documentation required by reviews and audits.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, be detail-oriented, and possess basic computer skills with MS Office familiarity. Training will cover equipment operation and blood collection techniques as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; biology emphasis preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented with familiarity in lab procedures.
• Strong verbal communication skills required.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Learn/know correct anatomic terms.
• Assist in preparing responses, deviations and other documentation from audits.
• Assist with basic necropsy procedures (dissection, tissue collection, preservation, sample collection, organ weights).
• Learn/know operation of equipment (calipers, balances, centrifuges).
• Perform basic data collection using a computerized capturing system.
• Perform basic blood collection techniques and related duties.
