Job summary

Charles River is seeking a Technician I in Kentucky to train in onboarding tasks and collaborate in a team environment. You will learn basic animal handling, collection of samples, and lab prep under supervision to ensure study quality.

Responsibilities include data entry, ensuring welfare, and following GLP/SOP/BOP/IACUC rules. Overnight and weekend hours may be required. Strong WR skills and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; relevant biology education valued.
• Associates or Bachelor's in biological science preferred.
• Equivalent education/experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Ensure humane care for animals with gentle interactions.
• Train on onboarding tasks including handling, euthanasia and dissection as needed.
• Collect, document, review data on forms or electronic systems.
• Review functions for quality control and maintain equipment.
• Perform duties per GLP, SOPs, BOP, and IACUC rules.
• Work additional hours as required.
