Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced necropsy pathologist to independently perform advanced necropsy procedures in support of preclinical studies and maintain accurate study documentation. You will provide guidance to junior staff, perform basic and advanced histology, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to method development while working in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of pathology laboratory and/or necropsy experience.
• Experience supporting GLP studies and working in regulated labs preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and data documentation.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform specialized necropsy procedures and tissue collection.
• Prepare study-specific necropsy procedures and records.
• Conduct QC reviews of study data to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Train and mentor junior staff in necropsy techniques.
• Perform basic and advanced histology procedures as needed.
• Maintain a safe, compliant lab environment.
