Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform clinical and technical tasks in molecular pathology, tumor cytogenomics, and flow cytometry. The role requires NYS DOH licensure and 0–1 year of experience, with ASCP/NCA certification preferred.

The incumbent will maintain QC documentation and interact with pathologists and nursing staff to ensure accurate results. The position emphasizes quality control, instrument maintenance, and adherence to hospital policies,

Qualifications

• B.S. in Medical Technology or equivalent to meet NYS DOH technologist standards.
• 0-1 year of experience.
• ASCP or NCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical/technical/service/administrative tasks as required.
• Performs technical procedures in Molecular Pathology, Tumor Cytogenomics, Flow Cytometry.
• Maintains records and signs QC logs and LIS entries.
• Reviews Critical Test results and communicates findings to nursing staff/physician.
• Prioritizes work to meet turnaround times; notifies supervisor if delays occur.
• Participates in inventory control and other departmental projects.
